Currently renting a home under Auben and this has been a horrible experience. If you call, no one answers the phone. No one answers emails. Maintenance requests get canceled. Just save your time and money (and sanity) and rent from someone else!
Auben Realty is by far the worst. I have been dealing with not having heat in the winter to not having air in the summer. As I do this review, my thermostat is set on 69 a d it's 75 degrees in the house. A new unit was put in last year and has never worked properly. I have been putting in maintenance reports for over a year for the same issue. These people are always trying to make it look like it's something on my end. I only rented with them because they were the only ones that accepted my application and my mom just passed away and I had to move out with two small kids. I am disgusted really. I did my best at maintaining the home and they charged me double for security deposit and still charging me that plus $200 after move out. Nobody answers the phone or responds back in time. PLEASE TAKE PICTURES!!! Im glad I did because I'm disputing it and if they still won't drop it we will have our day in court.
I lived in one of their apartments for about 5 years. The apartment had changed hands multiple times, and ultimately ended up in the hands of Auben. That’s when things went downhill. They let a felon that recently got out of prison move in beneath me. There was constant low-frequency bass noise throughout the day and night that made it difficult to sleep or use my apartment normally, and I received threats from him when confronted.
