My partner and I new to Austin originally had a midwife for our first child so we knew what we were looking. In a rush to find a midwife that took medicaid we settled on Varshna. We absolutely loved our experience at lotus birthing center. From our very first appointment all the way to the birth of our daughter, we enjoyed every moment. Varshna was awesome. She treated us more like family friends than patients and answered all our questions. I highly recommend letting atx birthing center be a part of your pregnancy and birth journey!!!
Thank God I found Varshna during my 20th week of pregnancy. I knew I wanted to have a natural birth, so I started searching for a midwife and that’s when I met her. From our very first meeting, she was warm, caring, and supportive. My birth was long, hard, and incredibly powerful. I would happily work with Varshna again to deliver ten more babies. From our very first phone call, her calm and reassuring demeanor immediately put me at ease. My previous two births were hospital deliveries with inductions and epidurals, and my last pregnancy in 2021 during the COVID pandemic left me with some trauma.
