Spent 2 hours getting eyes measured and tested for cataract surgery. Best eye exam I've had in 10 years. Dr Atwals's team was very thorough. Next, need to decide when to just schedule and go for it.
Ephrim Atwal & Associates definitely sets the bar for the entire industry to aspire to . From check in to evaluation/ testing to consultation to recommendation to Scheduling to sign out . I would give it 5 stars except for the first time I went the day after my surgery the wait was ridiculous I was told to be there at 7:15 which I was and the waiting room already had quite a few people in it. I wSs called to an examine room were the wait began. I waited over an hour. Come to find out that the doctors don't even arrive until 8:00. You have to be kidding me. Our experience on Harlem Road was great. Just a word of caution... if you are scheduled for the first post op appointment at the Abbott Road location at 7:30am like we were, the staff is instructed to not open the outside doors until 7:45am. Odd that appointments are scheduled prior to them opening. Otherwise happy with the service.
I had a tiny piece of metal stuck in my eye from a work incident that my regular optometrist could not remove. I was referred to Atwal and they were able to remove it within an hour of when I called to set up the appointment! Highly recommend!
