DO NOT GO TO ATRIUM FOR BREAST CANCER TREATMENT Three times I went to my Oncology team with concerns that my cancer had reoccurred . Three times I was dismissed/ignored & told it never comes back in the same place .After pushing for further testing my fears were confirmed all three times . I learned more than four years ago that I have prostate cancer. I was offered both radiation and chemotheropy treatments, but I did not want to endure two years or so of misery from such treatments. I've been impressed with everything and everyone from the Atrium portal, to the office staff, the medical partners, the nurses, and the cheerful efficiency of the radiological techs. My oncologists have been knowledgeable, courteous, friendly, attentive, and also unhurried in sharing findings and answering questions. If you've GOT to live with cancer and hope to be a survivor, Wake Forest is the place to do it.
