They lack the sense of urgency an urgent care should have. They couldn't even send an antibiotic prescription to the right pharmacy and a day, two trips out, and several phone calls later this hasn't been resolved and I have to "wait on the provider". Yep. I'll just double-pay for a new visit with another provider, or sit around continuing to be sick while you figure your stuff out. So much for Atrium having an organization-wide portal. No one I've spoken to will even have a look in there and help.
Had flu symptoms. Was treated with antibiotic, cough pills, and Prednisone. Have been an insulin dependent diabetic for 57 years and I know what Prednisone does to a diabetic. The dose waws quite high - 20mg 2 x daily. Needless to say, I did not take but one pill. It took me 2 days to get control of my blood glucose levels. Not sure where to PAC mind was when she ordered this. Maybe she needs to go back and restudy the effects and the proper dose needed to give diabetic patients.
