I met with Dr. Michael Friedland for a new medical issue. As a physician myself I appreciated his calm demeanor. He recommended appropriate lab tests and procedures and explained why he thought they were necessary. He could have ordered multiple other tests that were very unlikely to be useful and explained why they weren’t necessary. He was realistic about the severity of my issue but wasn’t overly dramatic. Through out our visit he was compassionate and competent. He really is a role model for internal medicine physicians.
