I feel lucky to have Dr.Scott Furney as my primary physician. He answers all my questions thoroughly and takes care of all my medical issues in a very careful and thoughtful way.
I start to suspect that Atrium Health is just a money extracting enterprise masqueraded as a hospital. On April 15 I went in with a simple referral request which I clearly indicated in writing to my doctor. I knew exactly what I had, what kind of a specialist I needed, and I did not ask for their medical service. As it turns out, I did not need that referral and my Insurance does not require it. Staff makes you geel comfortable appointment is never long i wouldn't wanna go to any other Dr office
There are hundreds, if not thousands of physicians in the Charlotte area and somehow I managed to land here at one of the most incompetent facilities on planet earth. In my personal experience, I endured a physician who was disconnected from her patients and perhaps burnt out from her profession, one who chose not to listen to my concerns, who lowered the dose of my Thyroid medication against my plea, causing me significant distress. Updated 4/14/26 – Dr. Anderson Dr. Anderson will agree with your concerns in person but fails to follow through outside of the office. The administrative hurdles required to receive basic, respectful care are excessive. Ironically, billing for each visit seems to have no such obstacles.
