Have been coming to this place for a year instead of them calling me before my appointment to let me know they no longer accept my insurance. They wait till the date of my appointment after I drove almost 2 hours to tell me that they don’t accept my insurance and wanted to charge me The crazy part about is I work in the medical field as a nurse so I do know that you guys are supposed to run insurance before appointment instead of wasting peoples time….
My appointment was at 8. I am almost 2 hours in and still sitting in the waiting area! There are too many people clocked in to be waiting this long! This is unacceptable! As the patient my time is not being considered
My first mammogram was a nightmare. I hurt so bad with breast soreness and tenderness for a whole week. So when they called me back for a second scan, I put it off for 6 months. My pcp finally caught up to me and said I really need to go back, so I did. I got a sweet lady, named Emily, who took good care of me and not 1 time did it hurt or feel too uncomfortable. I am glad that she showed me that mammograms aren't as bad as my first experience. I hope to get her in my future visits.
The staff here are nice and friendly. However, the diagnostic capability at Atrium Health is low. A breast cancer of invasive ductal carcinoma diagnosed here turned out to be DCIS ( ductal carcinoma in situ) . The two diseases are treated completely different.
