In June of 2014 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl via C section. The night nurse I had was a young blonde nurse and she was awful. She refused to give my pain medicine- she said I was seeking and needed to learn how to go without it and wouldn’t even help me to the bathroom. She talked down to me the entire shift. Recently had my son unplanned at Atrium in Shelby. Shannon and Connie took care of me from the moment I walked in til I birthed my baby hours later. I wanted unmedicated but things happened and Darin was absolutely amazing. These staff members brought back my hope in the hospital. They listened to my concerns and made me feel comfortable without ignoring or invalidating my wishes. Would recommend 1000 times over.

I recently had my baby at Atrium in Shelby and I am extremely grateful for the exceptional care I received. Everything was at a high level and I was treated with great respect and kindness. A special thanks to Dr. Niblack for performing my unplanned C-section. The procedure went smoothly and my recovery was brief. I am thankful to everyone who took care of me and my baby. Thank you all!
