Steer clear of the memory care unit. They care more about getting your money than your family member. They accept patients they can not properly care for and when they refuse to take them back, they do not offer a refund and still require a 30 day notice. My family made an awful choice for my father and it cost him his health as well as costing us almost 20,000 for 4 weeks of neglect.
Lived @ Atria Shaker for 3 years .6 months with my wife Nettie and we loved it. Our room, the meals, the other guests, the entertainment, the staff were great.
It's no wonder Atria Shaker has had such a great reputation for quality for so many years. Their staff is very experienced, and it's obvious that they have a passion for helping older people live better.
