Atria Valley View is a good place for a resident who fits their standard profile of someone in their 70's, 80's, or 90's with physical limitations and in need of socialization. The director and nursing director, however, have very little experience dealing with any resident with mental instability and exhibit no empathy for residents and their families dealing with medication issues causing mental problems. A little empathy would go a long way in reducing the stress but they seemed incapable of dealing with a resident who ... read more
We had a wonderful experience with Atria Northpoint. Sam Guar is an excellent Executive Director and they took wonderful, responsive care of my mother throughout her stay. Atria will hold a special place in our hearts for how they helped us transition my mother into senior living.
I am moving my review back to four stars. 😉 Thank you so much. Resident at Riverdale Atria.
Atria failed in every category; cleanliness of rooms, meals, laundry, thief, etc. but most importantly, healthcare, were poor. Do not entrust Atria with the care of your loved one. I regret in doing so tremendously.
Very sad how they treated my mom. In the beginning they were welcoming and she had a nice apartment. HIghly recommend. Desiree and her Memory Care Team work hard to meet all your needs. Mom has found a new home and is happy and safe.
My Mom was recently moved from Assisted Living to the Life Guidance hall at Atria Weston. We were extremely pleased with the 5 years she was in Assisted Living and are equally pleased with the Memory unit. The staff are phenomenal. They are so caring and kind and communicate with me on everything. I feel like they are extended family. We could not be more pleased with the care my Mom is receiving.
Beautiful yes. Safe? I have to question that. If it were I wouldn't of found and picked up one of your elderly residents last night roaming the street at 12am in below 40° temps, lost, scared and in a panic. I hope JANET is safe! She reminded me of my grandmother's who lived out their years in an assisted living home. I understand accidents happen from time to time especially when someone is living in that state of mind they are hard to keep tabs on 24/7 but an unlocked door at 12am is just plain negligence. I'm just gl... read more
BIG thank you to Karinna Topete for all the help in getting Mom settled in her new home. Her compassion, understanding and patience is beyond measure. We are SOOOOOO appreciative for all she's done during this transition. Karen McHenry (Ellie's daughter)
