The Guys At Atomic Are Awesome!!! The guys at Atomic totally rock! My 2003 Ford Taurus suddenly lost first gear and I barely was able to drive the car 4 miles home. I had my car towed 25 miles to Atomic because my Mom and good friend both highly recommended Atomic, they both had their transmissions rebuilt for about $1500 and the trans rebuild outlasted both cars. Can't ask for Better I have sent several cas and trucks to Atomic Transmission and I have never had complaints. I tell everyone I know that's were I go and I have never had a bad responce from anyone. Keep up the great work and freindly service you your staff perform.Thank You Ray C

Transmission specialists my foot!!! Atomic has had our 08 Dodge Caliber for almost a year!! They changed out the transmission and it still does not work. We have been without our vehicle and cannot get an honest answer out of them. My husband and his boss have called numerous times and they do not have the guts to say "we just don't know what we are doing". I wouldn't send anyone I know to this joke of a garage.

Business owner Outstanding job by extremely knowledgeable peopleHad my Volvo at a trans place in Melrose Park and completely got screwed. The jerk put 60 miles on my car, got a red light ticket I had to pay, put used parts in and scratched up my new bumper. Buyer beware!!!!!

Honest I felt the transmision on my 05 Quest with 140,000 miles slipping. I was told I by another shop I would need a new transmission soon. A three weeks later I broke down a few blocks away from Atomic. I told them it was the trans for sure. I could not believe I got a call later that day all that was wrong was a broken axel. Tha repair was made right away. Great comunication. Cost a few hundred not a few thousand as I thought.

They Don't Listen I brought in my vehicle with a VERY specific issue. I explained in detail over the phone before brining it in. I left a detailed written note explaining when the issue occurred and what the symptoms were. When they called with the proposed fix, I questioned them saying that it didn't sound like they were addressing my concerns. They insisted so I approved the work. Over $1000 later they fixed...something....but not what I brought the car in for. When I called back to explain the situation, the person on the... read more

Bad communication! The guys here don't communicate with their customers very well. I still haven't gotten my vehicle back after a week and a half. They've been busy with fixing plows (because of the snow storm) and never bothered to tell me the cost of the repairs, what they had to do, or when they'll actually get to it. I was told my vehicle would be done today and it hasn't even been serviced yet. If I could have gone somewhere else I would have!
