I had an ultrasound locally on 3/20 and I was told AtlanticCare would call me in 48 hours. I got a call on 7 days later stating I had to schedule an in person appointment or virtual to get my results. I had a virtual time confirmed for today and 5 minutes before (after I got the reminder email) that my appointment is being canceled and that the doctor will call me when she gets a chance. This is absolutely ridiculous. How do I get my results??
My father was going to neurology for seizures and was given a miserable excuse of a notice ahead of time that his APN was leaving with the only option presented to him being a telehealth MD to see a new Neuro. What a terrible thing to do for local patients - especially older patients. Telehealth is even less personal than these 15min visits in person. Never returning, never recommending this MD.
Intake nurse did not write down the answers I gave her to the questions she asked and was not friendly. She did not even acknowledge that I responded at times. Dr Shen was terrible - too quiet and mumbled so that I could not understand him. He did not answer my specific questions despite my asking it repeatedly. I'd say this was not the worst doctor visit that I have ever had, but it was close.
It seems like a very well run establishment. My doctor works out of this building. Never really waited more than a few minutes after my scheduled time. They have one stop for most of for needs with a lab on site and I believe a radiology dept.
