Unfortunately I'm scared to call now because of all the negative feedback about the front desk and people making the appointment.If they were rude to me, I'd make sure to ruin their day mentally, which is something I dread, yet my personality would not let them get the better of me. Very rude phone/appointment receptionist! Called to inquire about making a doctor's appointment for someone that is not able to call themselves, due to a disability. First part of conversation, I explained that when I researched under the health plan what providers were listed, it showed them & I told her the doctor's name that it had listed. I'm not currently a regular patient, though I've previously been to Atlantic Psychiatric Centers to see Dr. Shuy. The front desk associates can be a little short, bordering on rude, at times. I know that they take Cigna and United Healthcare insurance. Dr. Shuy is very knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and accommodating. He has great bedside manner, is non judgmental, and he's extremely easy to talk to. I think he is a wonderful psychologist and I'm grateful that he practices in the area.
