I hate to trash health care providers, but I am livid. I was seen about 6 or 8 months ago for a spreading rash, intensely itchy. I was prescribed a topical steroid and within days, my skin was back to normal. I was warned to use it sparingly as it was very potent, and I have done that. When I called to book my appointment I was told they accepted my insurance. When I was in the office with the physicians assistant, nurse and a resident in training they did a body exam and said I needed three biopsies done. I said I assume this is covered by my insurance and I was told no it’s $50 per biopsy. They should’ve shared that information before I was sitting in my bra and panties with three strangers.
