I would give negative reviews if I could. The billing department has no idea what insurance they take. After receiving a bill, we spoke with our insurance and they confirmed that it was paid in full. The insurance agent spoke with someone at the ambulance company and told them. We reveived another bill and our insurance called them once again to tell them that it was paid in full. Today we received yet another bill. They are trying to swindle you out of your money. AVOID this company if you can.
This Ambulance Service is a ripoff and a complete scam. They came to the house because our carbon monoxide detectors were going off for the entire night so the next day I called the fire department and asked them to please check my home for carbon monoxide. They said they had to be dispatched so I called the police department and explained the situation and they sent the fire department. We should have zero stars. Dad's nursing home arranged for transport several times over the years and they use Atlantic. Atlantic refuses to take insurance info over the phone and will only accept it in writing. No matter how many letters you write, they refuse to bill insurance or provide appropriate documents so you can bill on their behalf. on May 4th 2025 I was treated at my home for possible heart distress. I was transported to MMC. while on route I had a heart attack. I receive excellent care and very quick response. My care was very good. The paramedics worked quickly taking care of my symptoms. the one in charge kept me calm and spoke to me respectfully and with care. explained what was happening and what to expect when we arrived at the hospital.
