My surgery was scheduled for 2/9. I completed all paperwork weeks in advance. Did all my preop duties. They confirmed my appt MULTIPLE WAYS AND TIMES. I then receive a phone call at 6pm the night before my surgery from Tabitha. Who wanted to “go over some medical information” I was then told that the information I provided weeks ago wasn’t reviewed until the night before my surgery and Tabitha proceeded to inform that they couldn’t manage my intubation needs at their facility and canceled my procedure. If it was possible to give them a negative I would. Their billing staff is incapable of giving a cost for pre-determined services. The best they can do is misspell "surgery" and "Georgia" . For a surgical center located in Georgia that should tell you their level of professionalism and skill. Their ability to communicate is astoundingly poor. The staff was friendly and the facilities were clean and comfortable. However, they made me pay upfront. I paid for the procedure only to get a notice showing that my health account paid a portion. I returned for a second procedure and they made me pay 15 % of the procedure and later I got a notice showing that it was covered 100% by insurance for preventative care. I am now owed over $400 and can not get anyone on the phone to have this taken care of! It is ridiculous!
The facility is nice, experience was sub-par also. Getting there was stressful due to the area. A couple of things I didn't care for was receiving a call the day before surgery stating what my 'co-pay was, a month later receiving bills stating I owe additional funds. Was my insurance not verified ahead of time. Also, during check-in staff was not as attentive due to engaging in conversation regarding the passing of a co-workers' mother.
