Was referred by Kennestone Emergency. When we told the person who answered the phone we had VA insurance she said, "we don't take it." and hung up.
I went to see Dr M. after having a severe finger infection. He wanted to do surgery and remove my nailbed and could fit me in the next morning. I was distraught. I couldn't believe this was happening. I decided to get a second opinion and went to another Dr the next day. He gave my 2 shots of novocaine in my finger and cut the infection out. I see this is not the first time this has happened to someone. Beware and get a second opinion!!
Dr. Mangonon was my doctor today and it was a same day appt. what an amazing doctor he was and my husband is a doctor so I’m being very honest. His bedside manner was lovely. He was quick but very thorough. I read a review where a patient felt he was working for a paycheck, and that is not the case at all. In fact, there was a chance for him to make more money and he didn’t go there. He was warm and friendly. Not that I wish to have any more injuries LOL but if I do, he will be my doctor. I would highly advise you to find another hand specialist. Do not make an appointment with this "doctor." I fractured my hand for a second time and had made an appointment to see him 2 days later. The x-ray machine at the facility that they used was very foggy and I could not see any detail of my break. As soon as Dr. Mangonon walked in to see me, he was pushing me to get surgery within the next 48 hours. I was 19 at the time and I think he was trying to take advantage of the situation to get a quick pay check. While I was o... read more
