I recently tried to schedule my annual checkup and was told that is now considered a “follow up” visit, which means I can only see a nurse practitioner. Keep in mind that my daughter has been going to this practice since she was a baby. To make matters worse, the only available appointment is on a Wednesday, and they are unwilling to offer any flexibility with scheduling. I had a follow-up appointment at Atlanta Allergy & Asthma – Kennestone on July 8, 2026, to review lab work that had been completed a few weeks earlier. After paying my $45 copay and being taken to the back, I was informed that the doctor I was originally scheduled to see had already left for the day. I was never notified before my appointment that my provider would not be available. Instead, I wasn’t told until after I had already checked in, paid my copay, and was waiting to be seen.
