I was a patient of Dr. Atkins growing up. Once I got to high school I thought about switching to an adult dentist. He filled a cavity and he cracked the tooth he was filling. I was in pain so I went to see him again and he said nothing was wrong and it was probably just sore from the recent filling. I went to my mom’s dentist for a second opinion and ended up needing a root canal. She was very fearful about the scary procedure and instead of trying to calm her he told her she was being a bad listener because she wasn't calming down. He basically made it seem like he thought she was being bad. After one or two minutes of me trying to calm her down he told me we'd have to come back again so she could be sedated and that any attempts to calm her down were just reinforcing her behavior. I'm not sure how someone who works with children couldn't see that my child was terrified

Just had to post this ...today is Evans birthday...we try not to get mad at the kids cause this is their day, however Evan could only find 1 of his shoes so his daddy was yelling at him all morning, finally we realized that his sister Sierra took his shoe thinking it was hers so this is how Evan is going to school and Sierra went to school like that as well....just had to post thought it was funny!!!
