College and high school members BEWARE! Worked out a few months here before headed back to college in WV. Cancelled my membership – the way I was told - but they continued to charge me – for 6 months!!! Had no record of the cancel they said. How about I specifically say in an email "CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP PLEASE" - as I am 150 miles away at school! Nope - they had to have a piece of paper :) When they couldn’t charge my credit card any longer they still ran up charges – and then turned them over to a collection agency! ... read more

I recently moved to the Sykes-burg area and I was looking for a new gym. I tried Triangle and Gold's but wasn't really thrilled with either for various reasons so I got a trial membership to Athens. An hour after working out there I knew this was my new gym. The owners do an outstanding job of keeping the place clean, organized and the equipment maintained. They know the value of continuing to reinvest in the business. Well done. Keep doing what you're doing.
