I wouldn't recommend this shop to anyone. I took my 99 Tahoe to this shop for a new motor and it started knocking and leaking oil after 4 months. Then I had to pay $150 to have it towed back to them and 8 months later it's still there. The owner Steve is a big liar. I'm giving him until Friday August 19 2016 to have my truck fixed the right way or a refund! No more excuses Steve!
Horrible. One star is too much. The car my son drives (my car) overheated and my son went to get the oil changed at another facility. The mechanic looked at it and told him the head gasket was blown, so we took it to Athens Cylinder Head on a Tuesday afternoon. We were asked to pay $300 up front for parts, which we did, and were told this would be complete the next day. Steve and the guys had exactly what I needed and were great to work with.
I was at a loss to what I needed to do, my transmission was leaking and having shifting issues. I did a fast search and found Athens Cylinder Head and Engine. They did a full diagnostics on the transmission and gave me a fair price for a rebuild with a great warranty They did the job quickly and professionally. I would recommend this shop to anyone that needs any motor or transmission work done.
total thief, crook, took our 1400$ cash made us pay cash , gave us a engine that leaked oil from the install day, FILED COURT FRAUD STEVE IS A THIEF
