Contacted Athens Advance Care at 4 pm needing overnight care for my mother - they had a sitter there by 9pm - and had developed a 24 hour plan by the next morning. All sitters were punctual and professional - and provided the care needed by my mother in a difficult time. Very responsive to questions and sudden changes in schedules/needs.
Athens Advance Care provided a sitter for my sister in a Memory Care Facility during a weekend when she was very confused and trying to get out of bed frequently after recent occurrences of falls with injuries and visits to ERs and even a short stay in the hospital. Knowing someone was watching her while she needed extra supervision allowed me to catch up on rest after a chaotic week. Reminding her to stay in bed and assisting her to the bathroom during a period of extreme weakness kept her safe.
We cannot say enough great things about Athens Advance Care LLC. The care they have provided for our mother, who has Alzheimer’s, has been absolutely top notch. From day one, their team has treated her with dignity, patience, and genuine compassion. Communication has been outstanding. Lashayla and her team are outstanding. They are extremely easy to work with. I could not have picked better people than two caretakers assigned to my mother. They truly spent the time to get to know her and took great care of her. Though mom has gotten better and we’ve stopped our service should we ever need caretakers again they will be my first call. We will miss their sweet faces, compassionate care and loving hearts.
I cannot say enough good things about Lashayla and her team. Finding the right match between my Mom and a caregiver was not easy. It was difficult for my Mom to accept that she needed help and to let someone come into her home. Lashayla worked with the whole family to find just the right match and it has been amazing.
