GoodFoodLovers Despite Athena's shabby outside and inside looks I took a take out menu and later placed a take order to be delivered to my home. My boyfriend Jeff and I were so appalled at the food. We could not finish the our gyros because the meat was so drid out that it was crunchy and sauce on top tasted like stale sour cream that had been sitting out all day. The gyros are consistently tasty with a nice balance of meat, sauce, onions, and tomatoes. My local go-to place whenever I'm in the mood for gyros.
One of my favorite things to do used to be to try different pizza around the area.Well that all changed the day i had Athenas, and not in the way you might imagine.About an hour after eating my order of pizza and chicken i became violently ill. Generous toppings This is a good value for carry-out pizza. They have a selection of toppings that not every place has and the amount of toppings is generous. It's a little bit out of the city, but worth the few extra minutes to buy there.
It took me a while to find this restaurant, it's nestled away in a little corner overwhelmed by Subway, but I have been back several times since. The gyros are delicious and the chicken is yummy too. The coleslaw is exceptional. The prices are very reasonable and include daily specials.
