Atera, a 2 Michelin star gem in Manhattan, offers a refined fine dining experience where every detail is meticulously crafted. From the exquisite ingredients to the flawless technique, each dish showcases culinary mastery. The ambience strikes a perfect balance between cozy and luxurious, setting the stage for an unforgettable meal. With a stellar sommelier and wonderful savory offerings, Atera ensures a consi... read more

Well, the team doesn’t seems pleasure tonight. (It is possible due to our group is late for 30 mins, we do feel very guilty about it). I’m appreciated our server, Kate keep her smiling for whole night. For the food, only king crab under starter; wagyu and squab under main course and all the dessert meet our expectation. For me, those dessert are pretty outstanding especially marshmallow/coconut. I prefer to give 3.5 star for the rating, and it barely worth to try.

We came here for my husband's birthday dinner. The staff were courteous and friendly. The dishes were all beautiful and delicious except for that one scallop dish. I took a bite and tasted some sand. I thought it was something else, but it was the unmistakable, unwelcome crunch of sand. It would have been my favorite dish except for that part. Everything else was perfect but this kind of ruined the experience for me. I hope no one else experiences this again.

The chefs and staff are great, don’t get me wrong, but the food isn’t that great. It’s all prepared very well, but half of the courses just taste weird or terrible. This isn’t a “unrefined” palate issue, it’s just weird dishes. I’ve done other fine dining for both French and Japanese, and those were much more tolerable if not outright delicious even if the dishes were exotic. None of the dishes were very protein centric besides the wagyu. The squab was just weird. Some of the puréed vegetable stuff was just outright nasty. I... read more

Food is fantastic, ambiance is strange because you would think there would be more interaction with the chefs by sitting literally in the kitchen with the chefs but there was zero interaction. The atmosphere was disconnected as they played jam band music yet the chefs looked concerned, inquisitive and unhappy most of the time. As a guest, you have no agency towards the pace of the meal, if you take your time enjoying the food, the staff will take away offerings towards the end of the meal such as coffee and tea. They cleaned... read more
