Big rip off they lie to get you signed up and offer low rates once you switch the rates double with other companies charge you.

We initially saved money with the unlimited plan but after the 3 month contract ended, the plan reverted to a regular per-usage charge. We got a bill for $800 (!?) when we were literally out of town for 3 weeks, kept the heat at 68, and unplugged almost all appliances. Turns out they are charging 2.5-3x more per kW than fair market rate offered by other companies. Do NOT use this shady company.

Very unethical. Signed my small business up and received 5-10% savings per month vs BGS (basic generation service from JCP & L) for a year. In November rate doubled vs JCP&L. In December went up another 20% on top, now nearing $2000.00 for the month. Called Astral to cancel, they said they could not because I was "commercial". Asked for a supervisor, nobody available. They said somebody would call me but could not tell me when. This is a classic bait and switch. Avoid at all costs.

SCAM!!! I applied for their unlimited energy package that they offer, waited over a week to get a response. Not only did I not get the unlimited energy quote but they tried to send me a contract for a 3-month fixed rate almost double what I am currently paying. They try to say one thing and then secretly change the deal on you. Super Shady business. I do have 6 months of energy bills, so don't know why they wouldn't ask for it instead of doing a bait and switch.

Another scam company. I found their online rates that they promise you an unlimited plan for $19.99 per month. In reality, they will get you under the contract with the higher rates than you have. The customer service is very poorly organized. No one is picking up the phone. The rates and the service they offer is total scam.
