Great Asheville based company. Love buying local. Best shoes I have ever worn hands down. Have both the TR1 Junction and Brewer 2.0 and so light and comfortable to kick around town, but made durable enough to take on a good hike and get wet. Astral rocks y'all :)
I lost the sole on one of my Astral Brewers (original 5.10 rubber soles) while on the Grand Canyon. I received a response from Ellen within 48 hours as they promised. A new pair of Brewer 2.0 are currently being shipped. They explained how they have improved the shoe so that this kind of problem will not happen again. Thank you Ellen and Astral.
I've had my Astral's for about two years now and they are the most versatile pair of shoes i've ever owned! I have the TR1 Mesh in red and purple and I LOVE the look and feel of them. They are lightweight, which is a must for me, I hate clunky shoes! The traction is great when wet and they dry FAST! If you are a lover of rafting, canyoneering, or hiking - these are a must!
The Astral TR1 Mesh W's are the most versatile shoes I have ever had. They gripped like champs hiking for miles over treacherous terrain through fields of dried lava on the Big Island of Hawaii, were perfect for hiking the often muddy trails on the island of Kauai, and of course are perfect for all kinds of boating. They are well made, comfortable, and cute.

Love my Ronny Fisher PFD! Super comfortable and keeps all my gear organized. I am never on a kayak without it!
I feel guilty because I can't quit wearing my Loyaks at work/everywhere, but people won't quit asking about them. Even my podiatrist loves them.
