Bought these for Maine, I had some open toe water shoes but I wanted something closed to protect my toes from leaches & something that had some grip on them for hiking. I decided on the mesh. I absolutely love them, comfy,great grip, & good for water & land hiking. I threw my old pair away & their replacement is 200% better.
I’ve had a pair of the loyaks for a few years now. One of my shoe laces was eaten by the washing machine so I contacted Astral about a replacement. A few days later I received a message that a pair was on the way. Awesome customer service!!
Love my Astrals! I have a different pair for everything - kayaking, biking, hiking, trail running, and out on the town. The wide toe box and level heel-toe keeps my feet happy and comfortable no matter what I’m doing!
