I was seen by Dr Mermelstein and incorrectly diagnosed as having a fracture of my big toe. After being in a surgical shoe and then boot for over 8 weeks and being told to stay in it for another month as it wasn’t showing as healed on X-ray, I decided to get a second opinion at The Hospital for Special Surgery. An X-ray was done there and I was told I did not have a fracture and actually had arthritis in my big toe - which is a completely different treatment course. This was also confirmed by MRI. What a great office doctor was amazing and the girls in the office . I was in alot of pain and they gave me an appointment the same Day. The doctor did a procedure was literally ten minutes . Highly recommend
