READ THIS IF YOU HAVE ARFID!! Aster Springs claims to treat ARFID, but after doing residential twice, I was left with absolutely zero skills or knowledge that applied to my own eating disorder. I was even misdiagnosed at first and had to continuously explain that I was not anorexic. During that stay, the only treatment that I was given that aligned with ARFID was a single exposure. The alumni group, coordinator and services are unparalleled. I've never had so much support from a treatment program after having left the program. I am deeply grateful for this resource.
About the after care alumni program: First of all, Jess who runs the program is AMAZING! I really enjoyed how they offer a support group after discharging from res. Not many places do that and I think that is what really sets aster springs apart (and many other things). Even though I don’t go to the support group now, Jess still checks in on me and I appreciate that so much! Overall Aster springs was the best program I went to. Shout out to all the staff that helped me in my healing journey:)
This place has some of the most personable and caring staff I’ve ever come across. I came to visit my friend who was a client and I was blown away by how warm the whole team was.
