I came to Aster Springs following the darkest time of my life. I was scared, overwhelmed, and felt like I had no more fight left to give. Aster springs felt like the hand that reached down and picked me up, dusted me off, gave me a hug, and told me I was worth something. My experience at Aster was absolutely wonderful. It was the best experience you could possibly have. I felt like part of the family. It's the first place I've come to where I was treated like a person or a human instead of just a patient, and I didn't feel like I was just a number in a system. All the staff was always kind and caring and always there to support me. I could go on and on about how great this place is. I only have good things to say. Hello people, I'd like to give a hugh shout out to everyone at Aster Springs for giving me a place to call my home away from home. I walked in not knowing anything about this program. Jess (he's the bomb digitty) welcomed me with such compassion and grace. Helped me understand I was doing what was best for me and had the utmost confidence in the staff he works with, that i was also very safe and well cared for during my recovery. Team takes time to check in with family. They gave me weekly updates and answered my calls at all hours. I felt really safe and secure sending my loved ones there.

To put it bluntly— They are HARMING patients by preventing them from getting the care they need with their unprofessionalism. I had a horrible and frankly unprofessional intake experience. Do NOT waste your time going through the intake process if you have any sort of medical issues (i.e POTS) outside of the eating disorder whatsoever. While I have multiple chronic illnesses, I would not consider myself so medically complex that a medical facility such as this could not take me.
