RecommendedI first took my car to a competitor to evaluate an engine in a 2012 Chevy Cruze. I was told that the engine had to be replaced, and that a new one would cost several thousand dollars. A friend of mine suggested that I contact the people at Astec Automotive Services for a second opinion. I was told by Astec that the engine could be repaired, not needing to be replaced.
