Many patients are expected to Live they're lives according to The aides schedule! That's not How it works, these people still Have lives although limited! If these aides feel overwhelmed Or put out then they need to Find another job! My wife has Had several UTI's and sometimes Lucky to get one shower a week! Need to work harder!
Alzheimers, Lewy Body, and other dementias are very common, yet it is nearly impossible to find a facility that is equipped to care for these patients. Most of the facilities in the area require you to commit to at least 2 years of private pay. With the rising cost of prescription medicine and the progressive nature of this disease, that is an unreasonable request for most of us. I would not recommend this place because of the DON. Shes very insensitive, coldhearted, very callous. Her actions are very uninspiring. Because no one will take the position to better the staff she disrespects her staff to the fullest. The place is very under staffed, short on supplies to give showers, and most of all comfortably as the nurses aides are everyone is intimidating to look for better employment.
