Horrible communication, and customer support. Had a disability policy for almost 2 years, injured my leg, took me out of work for 7 weeks, filed my claim on there online portal, was informed claim was complete after filing all the paperwork, never heard anything back for a month or so, I reached out to them for them to tell me they never received documentation that was downloaded to my online portal, recent the documentation, online to hear nothing back for almost another month, finally I reached out to them just for them to... read more
I wish I could give less than one star. I had AFLAC for almost a decade, and switched when I changed employers. I would never recommend Assurity to anyone. Not user friendly. No explanation of denials, poor customer service. The website is an absolute joke, trying to reach someone on the phone will take most of your day. Salesman came to our house and LIED TO OUR FACE for an hour. NOTHING he said was true. THIS IS A SCAM DO NOT USE. Straight up scam. Absolute garbage.
Worst customer service ever! Website is not intuitive and doesn’t let you see the details of your claim. Critical information that I updated online doesn’t stay updated in their system. I waited over 45 minutes multiple times on the phone & their representatives are not helpful. I would never recommend Assurity to anyone!
If I could give them a 0, I would. They denied my cancer claim when I literally had a cancer removal surgery and four painful biopsies. Since they couldn't dispute the fact that I had cancer, they tried to falsely accuse me of being dishonest by innacurately reading my medical records and creating their own narrative. The insurance agent told me what I wanted to hear in order to get me to sign up for their policy. I then find out later than my claim is not covered despite being told that it would be. I reached out and explained the situation. They didn't care whatsoever. They just want you to sign up no matter what and get your money. And never pay out claims. Deceitful and poor customer service.
I bought an accident policy from them in 2017 for myself & my husband. I've paid in over $7,000.00 in monthly premiums since. Filed my first claim a few months ago when my husband ended up with a massive tear in his shoulder, a torn tendon and shredded bicep, requiring surgery & 6 months of rehab/therapy. 1st issue, he was told therapy had to be done within so many days of the initial injury. For 10 years i payed $49.00 a month for insurance with assurity life ins. only to get a letter from them saying that my monthly premium was going up to $817.00 as of dec 5,2021 . My yearly premium would be $9000.00 a year and go up every year after that . Surely this has to be illegal who in their right mind would pay that for $100,000 policy?
This company scams Social Security people they come in your house and they tell you they gonna save money on your Social Security check and get your money they come in the house to tell you that and they only sell you life insurance That is extremely high but you never get a discount from Social Security like they tell you it's a scam just to get into your house
