This store came highly recommended to me by a tech savvy friend. I wanted to like this place, but they were not particularly helpful or friendly and just a little bit too passive aggressive for my taste. Its not hard to talk down to an idiot like me when I ask a dumb question about computers. What is hard is to provide good service and put up with people who could use some guidance.
Best priced for virus removal! I called every one in Eugene Oregon when I had a virus on my laptop, and prices for removal started at around \$100 WITHOUT GAURANTEEING ALL OR ANY OF MY INFORMATION COULD BE SAVED. The people at computer base not only completely removed the virus for 70\$, but able to save all my information by removing it to a Linux system where the bugs dont work, and then put it back on my computer. Ive purchased a laptop and a desktop from Computer Base. Ive found the owner and sales people to be very knowledgeable, just not real "retail minded" in their posture. Theyre into computers. They were the best help I could find when I ventured into Linux. They set me up with computers that would dual boot and handled all my questions, (dumb and dumber), and what few problems I encountered along the way; usually without charge.
Horrible experience, we were told about Computerbase from a relative so we expected the best but when we took in a laptop and desktop we got nothing even close to that...First they didnt listen to everything we wanted fixed so when I picked up my laptop I still had a broken keyboard and was only then told that a keyboard would take an extra two weeks and when they loaded up my desktop into my car they didnt give back our powercord which I didnt know till I got home and upon calling them they claimed that they "dont give them... read more

These guys live by the "you get what you pay for" rule and dont have the cheapest parts. If you want something high quality go there.
