Beyond saddened and disappointed by the lack of resources and competency when it comes to caring for children with IEP’s and Special Needs from the Greater Philadelphia YMCA program. They’re needs to either be a dedicated subsite for these children or more stringent accommodations and hiring processes for “Role Models”. My son was FAILED by this program and it’s inexcusable.

I already have a bad taste in my mouth about this after school child care program and my daughter hasn't even started yet. The operations are rude and do not care whether your child is in the program or not. There was a lot of back and forth with the school and when I finally got a notification of the start of the program, nothing has been easy in the process. They are NOT flexible, and the customer service SUCKSSSSSS. I wouldn't recommend using YMCA for your needs. Lamirah Coleman is very condescending and unwilling to help... read more

On the website, it says the outdoor pool is open on Independence Day. Took my kids to the pool to find the whole place closed, even the streets were closed in the area. I walked around the whole building and there was no sign of life. What a disappointment. Shouldn’t be advertising anything on the website if it’s not going to be honored.

I like the atmosphere, and it has plenty of activities to choose from. The program was very helpful, she handled a situation that I had very professionally.
