I scheduled a dermatology appointment to have my scalp evaluated to determine the cause of my excessive hair loss. Unfortunately, the visit lasted less than 10 minutes. During that time there was no proper scalp examination, no diagnostic testing, and no equipment was used. I also did not receive a diagnosis or clear explanation. For approximately 12 years, I struggled with persistent blisters on my forehead and bald head—small, pus-like bumps combined with rosacea-like dry, irritated skin all over my face. I saw multiple dermatologists over the years, each with a different diagnosis, and none of the treatments worked. It was incredibly frustrating and disheartening. I booked my appointment through ZocDoc and uploaded all my information, including my insurance details, in advance. A week later, I drove 20 minutes to the doctor's office, only to be told at the front desk that they don’t accept my insurance—despite ZocDoc stating otherwise and the office having my information for an entire week. This level of miscommunication and lack of attention to detail is incredibly frustrating. Clearly, someone is not doing their job properly.
