I never write reviews on places but I had to make an exception for AVS. I recommend this vet to people all the time. I do not know how they keep there prices so cheap. Yesterday I had both of my dogs in for a check up, one needed a 3 year rabies booster and both needed prescription medicine. All together it totaled $85 dollars. The cheap prices do not affect the service. The staff are always so nice and accommodating. The vet techs are very friendly and the vets are super knowledgeable. I have used their services for years and usually have no complaints. Tonight, that changed. My elderly dog is dying from heart worms. Her abdomen is huge and she is having trouble walking. The veterinary that she saw last week was already gone so we had so see a new person. This lady is young and was brutally honest. She showed absolutely no compassion for my situation, but rather made me feel as though I was wasting her time. She made it a point to let me know that I could have prevented this. Brought my dog in at 7:00a.m. at 5:00p.m. still not done and no phone call this is a small Chihuahua not even water for almost 24 hours but the big dogs with alot of bulk were done first after 5 still waiting
I have always loved taking my pets here. I moved away for quite a few years and returned to service a few months ago. I feel confident that my dog is getting great care and the vet has spay/neuter programs for the community! Also, there are a lot of overly expensive vets in the area and this is one that I've always been able to afford and get quality, routine care for my pets without breaking the bank!
