Went through the program from July 11 thru Oct 28 2016. Course was great in my opinion. For me I knew nothing about running heavy equipment or cranes, after spending 13 years in the military. I learned what it had to offer and applied everywhere. I left there Fri and had a job on Monday. I'm currently employed at Howell Crane and rigging in Dallas. Doing a little of everything, driving, rigging and running up to a 275 ton hydro crane. If you are a veteran it's a great place to get a fresh start. If you aren't, it's still a g... read more
Most professional and reliable company to earn a great living with little time and money, highly recommend
I'm considering going to ats, I'm curious to know if they place you with your local union or if they actually help you out with job placement, or If experience really does matter regardless of The schooling you have? All in all I'm looking for some general input on if you guys think it's worth the money, when I talked to the recruiter I thought it was alittle pricey. Thanks in advance for your help!
I had a great time at ATS. Awesome teachers all the way around. Going through the whole the program to experience it all and find out what I really want to do. Heavy Equipment alot of fun.
Absolutely amazing. Signed up for Crane I and Crane II. Very intense but very informative. The instructor's are men that come from the field not a college. They are very intelligence but easy to understand. They make the information easy to understand and retain for test purposes. Very safety conscious. I would highly recommend this class for anyone who is going for their NCCCO certification.
I went to ATS back in the fall/winter of 2013 and went through all courses. I learned that a job isn't just handed to you with having the certifications. You have to be open to relocating to where the work is. I started off as a rigger in my hometown in Florida and gained some more ground knowledge. I then moved out to Colorado and was one of the crane operators for a oil field services/coil tubing company. I then moved to Miami and joined on with the Union and got placed on with one of the biggest crane companies in the cou... read more
Love the instructors for heavy equipment. Jay,Cory,Jamie,Joe,Dave an Tim are great teachers an also great people they need raises. They take their jobs seriously an enjoy giving back what they know. The wealth of knowledge is unbelievable. I would say its pretty fast paced but the instructors cover anything and everything that's on test..My advice come prepared to be dedicated.
I graduated ATS Oct2014 after completing their entire program and have been operating cranes since. Prior to that I was making 20K yearly after military career, last year I grossed 65K and this year I'm already on track to make six figures and become an Operator Foreman. At ATS I got what I put into it, I strived for perfection and the education proved to be top rate and has been a practical guide for operating whatever equipment I'm tasked to run. My advice to anyone interested in construction is to invest heavily in yourse... read more
