I fought with my HMO Horizon to get this company approved because they assured me they would and could work with my difficult schedule. After 1 month they decided they couldn't. They fired the first aide, the second quit for a job at bjs, and the third hated my pets. Now the owner Barbara has a contract with Horizon and I have no aide service. Do not use this company. While the caregivers themselves seem decent, the management creates a hell. My mother was treated with disrespect over the phone when she wanted to report the last minute cancellation of an aide and to see if she could request one a different day. We went through three aides in a short amount of time, one had her care repossed and was soon fired, one quit to work at BJ's and I discovered that she was threatening to hit my dog with a fly swatter which scared him greately (so much for "loving pets"), a... read more
Associated Home Quality Health Care just pulled out on me with absolutely NO notice. I received a text message at 9pm telling me there would be no one to care for my 90 year old Mother the next morning. I was forced at that point to take off from my job and lose a days pay. Today at 7pm I was told that they would no longer be working with me or Mom. That leaves me unable to go to my own job as there is no one to care for Mom. Associated took care of my aunt and they did a wonderful job. From the moment the case manager came out to the home and they matched the caregiver to my aunt--nothing but great things to say about the staff. I would highly recommend them. They handled the physical therapy, the visiting doctor and the office is and continues to be very responsive to our ever changing needs. We love our caregiver and wish we had found out about Associated years ago. Quality Service from a caring company.
I called Associated 2 years ago when my Grandmother was scheduled to go in for a surgery. My family and I knew we needed some extra help. Barbara was able to send a caregiver that was loving and professional. She was a great fit for my Grandmother and our family. Looking back, I dont know how we could have cared for my Grandmother without her. Shopping, cooking, cleaning, doctor appointments.. This was our first experience hiring a caregiver. I would highly recommend Associated!
