I like Dr Schepps, but this office is chaos. I never wait for less than an hour. They move you around and don’t tell you what’s going on. I can never get an itemized receipt. I think I might be about done here.
I have gone to the E 40th location for 3 years now. I'm done. Office is small and cramped. Lots of congestion. At last visit, had me move around to 7 different locations. Just for an eye exam!!! Equipment broke down during lst visit. Had to return for a 2nd visit to get refraction test. The technology for this test was down. Techs are rushed and unfriendly. Office and docs are misinformed on what insurance covers what tests. I was erroneously billed for the refraction test. It has taken weeks for front desk to resolve. They ... read more
STAY AWAY FROM HERE! I have been a patient of AO for over five years, and while the care has been good, I recently had an extremely disappointing experience dealing with the front desk. During several phone calls regarding billing issues, I encountered rude and unprofessional behavior that is completely unacceptable. I've been going to Dr Shepps at Associate Ophthalmologists for over 20 yrs and can't say enough about how much I trust them with caring for my vision. Everyone there is a real professional!
Gerald Shepps, MD I came to Dr. Shepps with large dense cateracts. My mobility and personal independence was severely impaired, as both eyes were affected. Dr. Shepps is a polite and respectful person always willing to answer any questions. His skill as a surgeon is incomparable, and my results after the surgeries are a testament to this.
