Dr A. Rather was referred to establish fu care after an out-of-state move. I found him to be a good communicator and respectful. However, he kept pressing a favored cause regarding my dx based on no empirical information and pressed a need for me “to read about it” (and get invested in it?) as causal to my health condition, when the reality is there are multiple known and likelier potential causes. I would highly recommend Dr. Rather. He has a great bedside manner and takes his time and explains everything so that you understand. His follow up care is excellent.
Dr. Rather is an excellent surgeon. Both my colostomy and reversal were complicated by adhesions. He was up to the task. His follow-up care was excellent.
Dr. Rather is an excellent surgeon. He took his time explaining everything I needed to know prior to surgery. Explained worst and best case scenario‘s. He took his time during surgery and afterwards explained to me and family members everything that had been done. His follow-up care at the hospital was excellent.
Dr. Rather was recommended to us by the Oncologist my wife was seeing due to a diagnosis of a large malignant tumor in her lower intestine. Dr. Rather was very pleasant and described fully the procedure he would be using, and was very reassuring that he would do his up most to help resolve the problem if it was in his power. After the surgery he explained that because of the size and location of the tumor that he could not remove it surgically and that kemo might be a possibility.
