Simply put--the best pizza in Raleigh – I took my family there for pizza night and everyone loved the pizza. The owner came over to talk to us and made sure our experience was pleasant. My teenage daughter said she couldn't wait to tell her friends. Worth it!

Tasty NY Style Pizza – We love the pizza and the garlic knots. Just thinking about the garlic knots makes me happy. My husband and I order a pizza for take-out every other week and we love it. The crust is thin, but not cracker-thin. It's NY-Style pizza; I am not sure how else to describe it. We have never ordered the pizza by-the-slice, so I can't speak to the quality of the slices. Assagios has a deli stocking Boar's Head meats. They also have a frozen section that sells sauces and pasta, as well as a dessert case that alw... read more

Well worth the trip!!! – Moved to the neighborhood a few months ago, and find we either eat in or take-out from Assagios at least once a week. The food is almost always excellent, and the service is very good. Simply stated, it's well worth the trip.

Disappointing – My sister and I just ate at Assagio's last night based on the reviews already posted. We were very disappointed! We ordered pizza slices and salad. The pizza had obviously been sitting around for a while and then reheated. The crust was tough on the bottom and soggy on the top, the toppings were thrown onto pre-made cheese pizza and the mushrooms were canned - not fresh. The salads were better & tasted fresh, but were primarily lettuce with a sprinkling of shredded carrot, a few tomato wedges, and a lot of on... read more

I've had better at the food court – The pizza by the slice is old, sitting around and if you want anything other than cheese they throw toppings on and luke warm it up. I had a cheese with mushrooms...the mushrooms were from a can!!! Not worth the high price: two thumbs down, way down.

Former Jersey Girl – After living in Raleigh for 14 years I finally have a pizza place I can call home. Growing up in the NY area, where to go to get good pizza was never an issue...you didn't even have to think about it. Here, it depends on what part of town you are in. I have found a few restaurants that offer excellent pizza scattered about town. Now, it doesn't matter where you are (but I hope for your sake that NW Raleigh is convenient to you) because Assaggio's is the only place to go for Pizza. Thin crust, incredible ... read more

Great date or family restaurant – Assaggio's is truly one of the great moderately priced Italian eateries around. The ingredients are very fresh and all food is made to order. The chicken franchese, and veal marsala are fantastic as are the salads and bread. The desserts are to die for and the service very friendly. I would highly recommend this place to anyone in the mood for some good italian food at a very fair price.

My quest is over! – Been here for 5 years. Everyone tells me go to this place and go to that place. Well, my quest is over! My hair stylist said to try Assigio's. You guys have done it. The best Pizza I've ever had in Raleigh. Finally, a Great Pizza! I am embarrassed to say that I ate whole thing myself and had to go back and get another one for the family.
