This review is to honour Chantal McDonald, the Resident Engagement Manager. Or as I would like to call her, an amazing activities and social whiz. Roy, a resident and my uncle loves to attend almost all programs offered to him, including road trips, outdoor activities, ice cream days, special event days, birthday celebrations, music entertainment offered a few days a week and many other fun-filled activities weekly. Thanks Chantal for caring to provide the residents with fun and happy days. They love it.

Through Always Best Care senior services, I was permitted to put on a Fall Risk Clinic at Doon Village Retirement Residence. It was very encouraging to see the staff promoting wellbeing, community, activity and education.

Our parents have known each other since they were children and will be celebrating their 75 wedding anniversary this year. They worked hard their whole lives saving for a rainy day. Now in their 90's they reluctantly decided it was time to leave the house they loved and compromise their independence and the rainy day was upon them. my quality of life is positive here in Doon Village. I can talk with people in the home. I enjoy the activities, food and neighbours. I am not getting any younger and Doon Village is helping live my life the way i can in my Golden Years.

I have lived at Doon Village for almost a year, and I feel the staff are amazing, caring and go over and above to take of my needs. The meals are delicious and I enjoy the entertainment! I am happy and would encourage others to come and try it out.
