Great picnic area! I loved all the Chipmunks that ran around! Also gray squirrels and birds. There were about 10 picnic tables and fire pits and some were in the shade. We were there on Tuesday August 4th. There's a very nice nearby hiking trail that I did a small part of.
Perfect shaded escape and trailhead!We had an amazing afternoon at the Aspen Glen Picnic Area! The area is completely surrounded by massive, towering pine trees that offer excellent shade, keeping it nice and cool even during midday warm weather.The picnic benches are well-spaced out, and having individual charcoal BBQs right at the sites made it super easy to grill lunch.
