This Aspen Glen Picnic area is a beautiful spot surrounded by tall pine trees that provide plenty of shade. It’s a peaceful place to relax, with several picnic tables scattered throughout the grove. I’ve visited a few times in both fall and winter, and fall is definitely my favorite, the weather is much more comfortable for me. Lots of tables, trees and space to relax. However, the barbecues and fireplaces were all shoddily wrapped with tape and garbage bags to stop their use.
This beautiful, tree-shade picnic area is located off Mill Creek Road. The parking lot is not that large, so we recommend getting there early if you want to find a parking space during the busy months. There are plenty of picnic tables under a pine tree covered grove and there is one standard, two-stall restroom, which could be taken care much better than they are.
