I would strongly recommend Aspen Flight Academy to anyone interested flying. Trevor was exceptionally knowledgeable, experienced and confident in a challenging flight environment. As a commercial rotorcraft pilot and CFI, I can confidently say that I would trust Trevor and Aspen Flight Academy for training in fixed wing aircraft. There are few places as remarkable as Aspen for learning to fly. I cannot recommend them enough!
My two CFIs, Greg Kirky and Kaden Laehu, have set me up for success as a pilot and delivered concise and effective instruction throughout my journey at AFA. Highly recommend if you have $30,000 lying around.
Aspen Flight Academy is fantastic. I started a few weeks ago with a Discovery Flight with Trevor Frederickson and was immediately gripped by the experience, leading me to continue taking lessons and work towards my private pilot license. I’ve had an incredible time working on my private pilot license through AFA with my flight instructor Lilly Arnes. Lilly is an extremely skilled pilot and instructor, as she has an extensive knowledge of flying, excellent teaching skills, and the utmost patience and compassion for her students. You can tell she has really good control of the plane when she flies, and does a great job of relaying the skills onto the student in helpful ways. I fully recommend Lilly as a flight instructor!
