A karaoke hot spot where Italy and China converge on the plate. – In Short Asia Roma, a festive upscale retaurant that attracts lots of large parties, is aptly situated on the intersection of Chinatown and Little Italy. Many come for the Italian-Asian fusion menu alone, which features everything from clams casino to chicken satay to teriyaki salmon. But the karaoke downstairs is the real draw: You and your friends can sing yourself silly in absolute privacy, for nothing more than the cost of dinner and drinks.
Walked by - had an awesome time – We went for dinner in chinatown and were planning on heading to alphabet city for karaoke. I saw the sign and headed in. We were able so sing every song we wanted, the drinks were creative and made well, the service was good.. It was a lot of fun!
Worst Restaurant Experience – It was one of my best friends birthdays, so she called in advance to make sure they could accomodate our group of 25. Of course the owner said it would not be a problem. When we arrived, it looked shady with no decor and no customers. The sat us in separate tables. One table had their drinks, appetizers, entrees and check before we even had our sake. They were out of all wines, except the most expensive one. There were not enough Sake glasses for all. Not only did they not compensate our party, ... read more
Great New Find! – My boyfriend and I went there for Valentine's Day per the reviews at CitySearch. We were a little skeptical at first, but once we got there, we found ourselves pleasantly surprised. There was no crowd, our waiter was very friendly, the food was great, and the karaoke downstairs was fun! Everyone was very accommodating. We are looking forward to coming back again and inviting our friends!
everyone knows your name – I come to Asia Roma at least 3 times a week. Everyone is nice to each other. A great place to just chill and unwind.
hopping – you could spend the whole night there ! from the delicious dinner to karaoke singing and the juke box by the bar. it's just endless. I really had a good time.
Sing on, Girl!! – I went with a bunch of my friends to Asia Roma on a whim last night, and couldn't believe how much fun we had! The best surprise of all was the terrific food. It is nice to be able to eat, drink, sing and boogie all at the same time. It is a really cute place and the crowd is diverse too.
Cheezy Fun – Excellent for first timers who enjoy karaoke and for friends bringing first timers. Great for drinking and song. The appetizers are OK. Better to book the whole downstairs, otherwise prepare to be familiarized with a lot of asian karaoke. Reserve all of your songs at the beginning of the soiree, otherwise your requests and dollars will be lost in the shuffle. Have fun!
YUM! – I was on jury duty one day and stumbled upon this restaurant. I was very satisfied with my entire meal from the appetizer to the main course. I'd definitely go back again.
