Extremely disappointing experience with Ashton Woods. I was under contract for a home at 5345 Heron Bay Blvd Lot #50, but could not move forward after an inspection discovered 38 defects on the new construction, including structural damage, corrosion on the water heater (posing a carbon monoxide risk), signs of pests, and a plumbing issue. Do Not Bother with Ashtonwoods homes.. There craftsmanship is complete garbage and there warranty is even worse.. We've had and still have issues with Plumbing, Hot Water, Water pressure, Properly sealed showers (Started Molding 3 months after we moved in, because they didnt use grout but caulk on tile). Improperly graded yard where water would just pool, HVAC system Verified by Middle Tennessee Electric and a 3rd party that actually fixed it and yet they still deny there was a problem, They completely missed painting a wall... read more
0 stars if that were an option We understand that issues can come up when building a new home — that’s not the problem. The problem is Ashton Woods’ complete failure to address those issues and the absolute nightmare of a warranty process. We’ve dealt with dozens of problems, including major issues that are still unresolved. Some of these unresolved issues will ultimately cost us thousands of dollars out of pocket to correct, despite being problems that should have been properly addressed by the builder. Attempted to see a home in the Delrose community that is not mapped correctly on Google maps, I circled the area for 20 minutes. Once I pulled over, I reached out through the listed number on HAR and I couldn't even reach anyone who could guide me to the OPEN HOUSE - I was forwarded to a voicemail (Michael) after a quick disconnect prior on a transfer. My job status changed as my promotion was reversed right after I signed the contract and applied with their lender. My income was severely affected but I was still employed. I decided not to move forward due to this and they still would not refund my 5k deposit! I don’t recommend this builder. Seems they are in the business of keeping people’s hard earned money.
