I had left elbow surgery on July 18, 2025. I was charged around $6,300 for the surgery instead of $3,700. I am supposed to receive a refund of $2,600, which I need to pay to Suburban Orthopedics, Anesthesia, and Alexian Brothers. Every day when I call the billing department, the front desk answers the call and tells me that no one is available in the billing department. This has been happening for the past month. I have been receiving notices from these hospitals. Can someone suggest how I can receive my refund?

I cant say enough about this caring place. My opinion it was better then the hospital. Attentive and so caring. While I was there they were like my family. They were also fun to talk with. Thats what you need to get though this time, they comfort you. Do not hesitate to come here. I just love my doctor. Dr. Adam Goldman Cant say enough good things about him. He is a very caring doctor. Give him a call if you have orthopedic promblems. Thank you for reading this.

Update (9/11/25): The surgical center submitted the claim to insurance the day after I inquired. I am entitled to a refund. I have asked when I should expect this refund. I would leave a five star review for the surgical staff. The surgical staff was friendly, prompt, and helpful. They did a wonderful job taking care of me before and after the procedure. I have gone to the Sugical Center several & each time I've had great customer service, from the receptionist to the nurses, the surgical staff & my Doctor Amit Jain who is the greatest. I saw other post & have never had a bad experience. I spent about 2.5 to 3 hrs, which includes check-in, signing paper work, checking n to my room with the nurses assistance, signing more paper work making sure I was the correct person & then to the surgery room, where I stayed about 15 min & back to my room until check out.

Dr Ankur Chhadia, from Suburban Orthopedics for the ACL reconstruction knee surgery at this Center and it was great experience. The staff was great and friendly. Billing wise they had things cleared and had obtained permission with my insurance ahead of time. Overall, I had a great experience.
