Everyone was so encouraging before and after my knee replacement. I got all the information I needed to help the process go smoothly.
Excellent care and positive results
About 2-3 years ago, I lifted some equipment and tore my rotator cuff. I put off surgery due to horror stories and eventually it got worse and I was in constant pain and could not sleep. Dr. Elbanna fixed my issues and I am now pain free. The folks in surgery made the whole ordeal great. Dr. Kahn and Tommy was a skilled team (anesthesia). The nurses were great! I don't know why I waited. Memorial always takes good care of me!
While Dr. Elbanna had incredible bedside manner and seemed very compassionate, the care I received or lack thereof is worth noting. He was the first orthopedic surgeon doc I went to after sustaining an injury at work due to overuse/trauma. I had virtually ZERO range of motion in my R shoulder/lower arm and he wouldn’t even send me to get PT. I was a “mystery”. 4 more drs later and I just had surgery for a COMPLETELY torn labrum and bicep, along with bone shaving in the clavicle.
