I went in to meet with a cardiologist due to some shortness of breath I was having and knowing my body I knew something wasn't right. I had an Angiogram done and they found something that warranted further testing. Being 57 yrs old I was scared. I ended up at the ER a few weeks later to learn that what they found was a birth defect and some blockages. I was then told I would have to have bypass surgery. I was told by my cardiologist that the mitral valve in my heart was losing its effectiveness. I was referred to Dr. Mann. No one, not one doctor or surgeon had ever been as caring, thoughtful, professional, or expert as Dr. Mann.
From an annual check-up to a major bypass surgery, this whole experience has been quite a trip. After realizing that I needed Cardio Artery Bypass Graft surgery (triple by-pass), Dr. Ashley Mann stepped in to advise me of all the details concerning the surgery; pre-operation preparededness, surgical details, post-operation expectations and do's and don't's.
